Today's Food Prices in Indonesia, December 18: Cooking Oil Rises, Cayenne Pepper Falls

Prices of several food commodities in Indonesia today were observed to be lower than yesterday.

Citing data from the Ministry of Trade's Basic Needs Market Monitoring System (SP2KP Kemendag) on Thursday (18/12/2025) at 14:19 WIB, out of 16 commodities, 2 commodities increased and 3 commodities decreased.

Commodities with increasing prices are red onions and bulk palm cooking oil.

Meanwhile, prices of several commodities such as red cayenne pepper, large red chili, and curly red chili decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Bulk palm cooking oil commodity increased the most by Rp100 (0.56%) to Rp18,100 per liter. The price of red cayenne pepper decreased most sharply by Rp2,700 (3.57%) to Rp72,900 per kg.

8. Broiler Chicken Eggs: Rp33,800 per kg (stable)
9. Premium Packaged Palm Cooking Oil: Rp22,300 per liter (stable)
10. Bulk Granulated Sugar: Rp18,200 per kg (stable)
11. Bulk Palm Cooking Oil: Rp18,100 per liter (up 0.56%)
12. Minyakita: Rp16,800 per liter (stable)
