Today's Food Prices in South Sumatra: Sugar and Onion Prices Fall

The prices of several food commodities in South Sumatra today are observed to have decreased compared to yesterday.

Citing data from the National Food Agency (Bapanas) food price panel on Thursday (17/10/2024) at 08.28 WIB, out of 21 commodities, 9 commodities increased and 11 commodities decreased in price.

Commodities that increased in price include skipjack tuna, broiler chicken, iodized fine salt, simple packaged cooking oil, and shallots.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as SPHP rice, bulk wheat flour, garlic bulbs, pure beef, and red chilies have decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Milkfish prices surged the highest at Rp3,250 (12.15%) to Rp30,000 per kg. Meanwhile, the price of corn at the farmer level decreased the most at Rp430 (7.13%) to Rp5,600 per kg.

4. Broiler Chicken: Rp36,970 per kg (up 9.7%)
5. Mackerel: Rp32,400 per kg (up 2.66%)
6. Milkfish: Rp30,000 per kg (up 12.15%)
7. Skipjack Tuna: Rp28,650 per kg (up 7.22%)
8. Shallots: Rp27,130 per kg (up 2.57%)
9. Broiler Chicken Eggs: Rp24,990 per kg (down 4.29%)
10. Red Chili Peppers: Rp22,100 per kg (down 1.03%)
11. Simple Packaged Cooking Oil: Rp18,000 per liter (up 3.21%)
