Today's Food Prices in West Sumatra: Prices of Oil, Eggs, and Beef Rise

The prices of several food commodities in West Sumatra today are observed to have increased compared to yesterday.

Citing data from the National Food Agency (Bapanas) food price panel on Monday, February 17, 2025, at 13:08 WIB, out of 23 commodities, 12 commodities increased and 10 commodities decreased in price.

Commodities that increased in price include skipjack tuna, Minyakita (branded cooking oil), large red chilies, farmer-level corn, and granulated sugar.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as medium rice, premium rice, broiler chicken meat, garlic bulbs, and mackerel have decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Farmer-level corn experienced the highest price increase, up by Rp285 (4.74%) to Rp6,300 per kg. Meanwhile, red chili experienced the steepest price drop, down by Rp3,910 (5.7%) to Rp64,720 per kg.
