Food Prices Wednesday (12/11) in South Sumatra: Red Chili Up, Cayenne Pepper Down

Prices of several food commodities in South Sumatra today were observed to decrease compared to yesterday.

Based on data from the National Food Agency (Bapanas) food price panel on Wednesday (12/11/2025) at 13:55 WIB, out of 23 commodities, 9 increased and 13 decreased.

Commodities with price increases were consumption salt, large red chili, consumption sugar, premium rice, and bulk wheat flour.

Meanwhile, prices of several commodities such as dry soybean seeds (imported), skipjack tuna, broiler chicken, red onion, and SPHP rice decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

The price of large red chili rose the highest by Rp1,400 (2.56%) to Rp56,000 per kg. Meanwhile, the price of red cayenne pepper decreased the most by Rp352 (0.97%) to Rp36,108 per kg.
