West Sumatra Food Prices Week of November 10th: Salt Prices Rise, Chili Prices Fall

The prices of several food commodities in West Sumatra today are observed to have increased compared to yesterday.

Citing data from the National Food Agency (Bapanas) food price panel on Sunday (10/11/2024) at 12:09 WIB, out of 21 commodities, 15 commodities increased in price and 5 commodities decreased.

Commodities that increased in price include medium-grain rice, SPHP rice, granulated sugar, broiler chicken, and packaged wheat flour (non-bulk).

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as red chilies, bulk wheat flour, dry soybean (import), simple packaged cooking oil, and pure beef decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Iodized fine salt saw the highest price increase, jumping Rp1,090 (7.17%) to Rp16,290 per kg. Red chilies experienced the sharpest price drop, falling Rp810 (2.04%) to Rp38,980 per kg.
