Banten Food Prices on Monday (January 6th): Chili Prices Up, Salt Prices Down

Food prices in Banten today are observed to be higher than yesterday.

Based on data from the National Food Agency (Bapanas) price panel on Monday (January 6, 2025) at 12:21 WIB, out of 21 commodities, 14 commodities increased in price and 5 decreased.

Commodities that increased in price include medium-grain rice, broiler chicken, bulk wheat flour, granulated sugar, and milkfish.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as Indian mackerel, packaged wheat flour (non-bulk), red chilies, iodized fine salt, and pure beef decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

The price of livestock-level corn increased the most, by Rp1,650 (22.45%) to Rp9,000 per kg. The price of iodized fine salt decreased the most sharply, by Rp880 (7.48%) to Rp10,890 per kg.
