Latest West Sumatra Food Prices: Onion Prices Up, Chili Prices Down

The prices of several food commodities in West Sumatra today are observed to be higher than yesterday.

Based on data from the National Food Agency (Bapanas) price panel on Thursday (24/10/2024) at 14.20 WIB, out of 21 commodities, 15 commodities increased in price and 5 commodities decreased.

Commodities that increased in price include granulated sugar, garlic bulbs, bulk cooking oil, bulk wheat flour, and simple packaged cooking oil.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as red chilies, dry soybean (import), shallots, pure beef, and milkfish decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Packaged wheat flour (non-bulk) saw the highest price increase of Rp250 (1.87%) to Rp13,650 per kg. Milkfish prices saw the sharpest decrease of Rp1,670 (5.02%) to Rp31,580 per kg.

7. Red Chili (Keriting): Rp32,690 per kg (down 3.94%)
8. Milkfish: Rp31,580 per kg (down 5.02%)
9. Shallots: Rp28,680 per kg (down 1.54%)
10. Broiler Eggs: Rp28,470 per kg (up 0.42%)
11. Granulated Sugar: Rp17,980 per kg (up 0.17%)
12. Simple Packaged Cooking Oil: Rp17,790 per liter (up 0.28%)
