Food Prices Today, December 05 in Banten: Red Chili Up, Cayenne Pepper Down

Prices of several food commodities in Banten today were observed to increase compared to yesterday.

Citing data from the Ministry of Trade's Basic Needs Market Monitoring System (SP2KP Kemendag) on Friday (5/12/2025) at 13.25 WIB, out of 16 commodities, 3 commodities increased and 2 commodities decreased.

The commodities with increased prices are curly red chili, shallots, and honan garlic.

Meanwhile, prices of several commodities such as broiler eggs and red cayenne pepper decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Curly red chili prices surged the highest by Rp2,000 (3.33%) to Rp62,000 per kg. Meanwhile, red cayenne pepper prices saw the sharpest decline of Rp1,000 (1.18%) to Rp84,000 per kg.
