Today''s Food Prices in West Java: Bird''s Eye Chili Up, Onions Down

Prices of several food commodities in West Java today were observed to increase compared to yesterday.

Based on data from the National Food Agency''s (Bapanas) food price panel on Tuesday (September 9, 2025) at 10:22 AM WIB, out of 24 commodities, 12 increased and 11 decreased.

Commodities with price increases include imported dried soybean seeds, garlic bulbs, consumption sugar, large red chili, and corn at the farmer level.

Meanwhile, prices of several commodities such as Minyakita, shallots, skipjack tuna, packaged cooking oil, and SPHP rice decreased compared to yesterday''s prices.

The red bird''s eye chili commodity saw the highest increase of Rp1,171 (3.12%) to Rp38,706 per kg. Meanwhile, milkfish prices saw the deepest drop of Rp1,992 (5.3%) to Rp35,585 per kg.
