Of the 17 sectors driving economic activity in this regency, agriculture, forestry, and fisheries are the leading sectors.
Agriculture, forestry, and fisheries rank first. In 2023, this sector contributed the largest share to the GRDP, reaching Rp4.38 trillion, a 2.48% increase.
Second is the wholesale and retail trade, repair of motor vehicles and motorcycles sector, which grew by 6.3% to Rp2.99 trillion. The construction sector grew by 5.12% to Rp2.9 trillion.
Finally, rounding out the top five GRDP contributors in Sintang Regency is mining and quarrying, with a value of Rp1.54 trillion. According to BPS, this sector experienced a -3.59% growth over the previous year's Rp1.58 trillion.
