East Java Food Prices Tuesday (21/10): Onion Prices Up, Bird's Eye Chili Down

Prices of several food commodities in East Java today are observed to have decreased compared to yesterday.

Citing data from the National Food Agency (Bapanas) food price panel on Tuesday (October 21, 2025) at 12:46 PM WIB, out of 25 commodities, 11 saw an increase and 12 saw a decrease.

Commodities with price increases include corn at the farmer level, consumption salt, curly red chili, SPHP rice, and red onion.

Meanwhile, prices of several commodities such as milkfish, red bird's eye chili, broiler eggs, pure beef, and mackerel decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Red onion saw the highest surge of Rp1,080 (3.02%) to Rp36,843 per kg. Meanwhile, the price of red bird's eye chili experienced the deepest drop of Rp1,277 (5.14%) to Rp23,550 per kg.
