Latest Food Prices in West Java: Chili Prices Up, Salt Prices Down

Prices of several food commodities in West Java today are observed to have decreased compared to yesterday.

Citing data from the National Food Agency (Bapanas) food price panel on Thursday (2/1/2025) at 09.22 WIB, out of 21 commodities, 7 commodities increased and 14 commodities decreased in price.

Commodities that increased in price are medium-grain rice, premium rice, packaged wheat flour (non-bulk), milkfish, and corn at the farmer level.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as Indian mackerel, iodized fine salt, simple packaged cooking oil, pure beef, and SPHP rice decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Red chili prices increased the most by Rp10,180 (14.12%) to Rp82,290 per kg. Iodized fine salt prices decreased the most by Rp1,490 (13.61%) to Rp9,460 per kg.
