The price of chili peppers in modern markets in South Sulawesi Province has increased by 194.91% over the past month.

The latest information from the National Strategic Food Price Information Center panel shows that the daily price of chili peppers in modern markets in South Sulawesi Province is recorded at Rp98,500 per kg. This price is unchanged compared to the previous day and the last week.

However, compared to the last month, the daily price of chili peppers in modern markets has increased from the previously recorded Rp33,400 per kg.

Meanwhile, the daily price of chili peppers in modern markets in South Sulawesi over the last three months has increased by 166.94% from the previous trading price of Rp36,900 per kg.

The record increase in the daily price of chili peppers in modern markets in this province was previously recorded in February 2017 with an increase of 270.77%, and the lowest decrease was recorded in June 2023 with a decrease of -63.51%.

According to PIHPS monitoring, the prices of nine basic commodities (sembako) today in South Sulawesi show six commodities decreased and 15 others increased. The basic commodities with decreased prices are Cooking Oil, Chicken Meat, Fresh Chicken Meat, Branded Packaged Cooking Oil 1, Chicken Eggs, and Fresh Chicken Eggs.

The following are the prices of nine basic commodities monitored by PIHPS today compared to the price developments over the last month in South Sulawesi Province:
