Today's Food Prices in Banten March 18: Beef Prices Rise, Bird's Eye Chili Prices Fall

Several food commodity prices in Banten today were observed to decrease compared to yesterday.

Quoting data from the Ministry of Trade's Basic Needs Market Monitoring System (SP2KP Kemendag) on Wednesday (March 18, 2026) at 3:46 PM WIB, out of 16 commodities, 3 commodities increased in price and 4 decreased.

Commodities that rose in price include broiler chicken meat, beef hind shank, and large red chili.

Meanwhile, prices of some commodities such as bulk palm cooking oil, red bird's eye chili, curly red chili, and Minyakita decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Beef hind shank prices jumped the highest by Rp625 (0.44%) to Rp143,750 per kg. Meanwhile, red bird's eye chili prices fell the sharpest by Rp3,750 (3.77%) to Rp95,625 per kg.
