Latest Food Prices in Banten: Buffalo Meat Prices Rise, Chili Prices Fall

Prices of several food commodities in Banten today were observed to rise compared to yesterday.

Citing data from the National Food Agency (Bapanas) food price panel on Friday (August 22, 2025) at 13.17 WIB, out of 25 commodities, 11 commodities increased and 11 commodities decreased.

Commodities with rising prices include pure beef, consumption salt, bulk cooking oil, premium rice, and dried soybean seeds (imported).

Meanwhile, prices of several commodities such as broiler chicken meat, Minyakita, broiler chicken eggs, garlic bulbs, and medium rice decreased compared to yesterday''s prices.

Frozen buffalo meat (imported from abroad) increased the most by Rp4,167 (3.7%) to Rp116,667 per kg. Meanwhile, red cayenne pepper prices fell the sharpest by Rp1,433 (3.54%) to Rp39,043 per kg.
