Current Food Prices in South Sumatra: Salt Prices Rise, Onion Prices Fall

The prices of several food commodities in South Sumatra today are observed to have increased compared to yesterday.

Based on data from the National Food Agency (Bapanas) food price panel on Thursday (4/7/2024) at 11:41 WIB, out of 21 commodities, 9 commodities increased and 6 commodities decreased in price.

Commodities that increased in price include SPHP rice, red chilies, milkfish, curly red chilies, and mackerel.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as shallots, broiler chicken meat, farmer-level corn, shallots, and pure beef have decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Iodized fine salt experienced the highest price increase, jumping Rp560 (5.03%) to Rp11,700 per kg. Farmer-level corn experienced the steepest price drop, falling Rp150 (2.74%) to Rp5,330 per kg.
