Today's Food Prices (March 12) in West Sumatra: Bird's Eye Chili Prices Drop

Some food commodity prices in West Sumatra today were observed to decrease compared to yesterday.

Based on data from the Ministry of Trade's Basic Needs Market Monitoring System (SP2KP Kemendag) on Thursday (March 12, 2026) at 3:59 PM WIB, out of 16 commodities, 3 commodities increased and 4 decreased in price.

Commodities with price increases are bulk palm cooking oil, curly red chili, and beef rump.

Meanwhile, prices of some commodities such as red bird's eye chili, shallots, medium rice, and broiler chicken decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Curly red chili prices jumped the highest by Rp889 (2.37%) to Rp38,427 per kg. Meanwhile, shallot prices dropped the most by Rp181 (0.58%) to Rp31,215 per kg.
