Current Food Prices in East Java: Chicken Prices Up, Chili Prices Down

The prices of several food commodities in East Java today are observed to have increased compared to yesterday.

Citing data from the National Food Agency (Bapanas) food price panel on Thursday (15/8/2024) at 12.09 WIB, out of 21 commodities, 13 commodities increased and 8 commodities decreased in price.

Commodities that increased in price include dry soybean (import), medium rice, broiler chicken meat, pure beef, and granulated sugar.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as red chili peppers, skipjack tuna, bulk cooking oil, curly red chilies, and mackerel have decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

The price of milkfish saw the highest increase, jumping Rp1,390 (4.48%) to Rp32,400 per kg. Meanwhile, the price of curly red chilies saw the steepest decrease, dropping Rp1,610 (4.6%) to Rp33,380 per kg.

5. Broiler Chicken Meat: Rp32,940 per kg (up 2.04%)
6. Mackerel: Rp32,510 per kg (down 2.28%)
7. Milkfish: Rp32,400 per kg (up 4.48%)
8. Skipjack Tuna: Rp29,840 per kg (down 0.9%)
9. Broiler Chicken Eggs: Rp26,040 per kg (up 0.42%)
