East Java Food Prices Saturday (July 6th): Beef Prices Up, Onion Prices Down

The prices of several food commodities in East Java today are observed to be higher compared to yesterday.

Citing data from the National Food Agency (Bapanas) food price panel on Saturday (6/7/2024) at 10:53 WIB, out of 21 commodities, 13 commodities increased in price and 8 commodities decreased.

Commodities that increased in price include bulk wheat flour, simple packaged cooking oil, pure beef, granulated sugar, and chicken eggs.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as milkfish, dry soybean (import), broiler chicken, skipjack tuna, and red chili peppers decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

The price of corn at the farmer level saw the highest increase, jumping Rp230 (4.56%) to Rp5,270 per kg. The price of Indian mackerel saw the sharpest decrease, dropping Rp5,920 (17.76%) to Rp27,420 per kg.
