Today's Food Prices in West Sumatra: Egg, Salt, and Chili Prices Increase

The prices of several food commodities in West Sumatra today are observed to have increased compared to yesterday.

Based on food price panel data from the National Food Agency (Bapanas) on Sunday (24/11/2024) at 12:09 WIB, out of 21 commodities, 11 commodities increased and 10 commodities decreased in price.

Commodities that increased in price include dried soybean (import), medium-grain rice, chicken eggs, packaged wheat flour (non-bulk), and pure beef.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as farmer-level corn, mackerel, bulk wheat flour, skipjack tuna, and SPHP rice decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Red chili prices saw the highest increase, jumping Rp6,330 (17.61%) to Rp42,270 per kg. Skipjack tuna prices experienced the largest decrease, falling Rp3,810 (9.81%) to Rp35,020 per kg.
