Today's Food Prices (22/4) in Indonesia: Beef, Onion and Bird's Eye Chili Prices Drop

Several food commodity prices in Indonesia today were observed to decrease compared to yesterday.

Based on data from the Ministry of Trade's Basic Needs Market Monitoring System (SP2KP Kemendag) on Wednesday (April 22, 2026) at 14:26 WIB, out of 16 commodities, 7 commodities increased and 9 commodities decreased in price.

Commodities that saw price increases include premium rice, bulk palm cooking oil, wheat flour, medium rice, and large red chili.

Meanwhile, prices of several commodities such as shallots, chicken eggs, Honan garlic, broiler chicken meat, and bulk granulated sugar decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Large red chili prices jumped the highest by Rp959 (2.34%) to Rp42,029 per kg. Meanwhile, red bird's eye chili prices dropped the most by Rp707 (1.2%) to Rp58,077 per kg.

2. Red Bird's Eye Chili: Rp58,077 per kg (down 1.2%)
3. Large Red Chili: Rp42,029 per kg (up 2.34%)
4. Shallots: Rp40,414 per kg (down 0.25%)
5. Curly Red Chili: Rp40,377 per kg (up 2.25%)
6. Broiler Chicken Meat: Rp37,665 per kg (down 0.27%)
7. Honan Garlic: Rp35,529 per kg (down 0.57%)
8. Chicken Eggs: Rp29,313 per kg (down 0.22%)
9. Premium Packaged Palm Cooking Oil: Rp21,827 per liter (up 0.14%)
10. Bulk Palm Cooking Oil: Rp19,501 per liter (up 0.14%)
11. Bulk Granulated Sugar: Rp18,317 per kg (down 0.01%)
12. Minyakita: Rp15,926 per liter (down 0.1%)
13. Premium Rice: Rp15,389 per kg (up 0.03%)
14. Medium Rice: Rp13,716 per kg (up 0.01%)
15. Imported Soybeans: Rp13,552 per kg (down 0.37%)
