Bali Food Prices Wednesday (August 7th): Onion Prices Up, Chili Prices Down

The prices of several food commodities in Bali today are observed to be higher compared to yesterday.

Based on the National Food Agency (Bapanas) food price panel data on Wednesday (7/8/2024) at 09.34 WIB, out of 21 commodities, 16 commodities increased in price and 5 commodities decreased.

Commodities that increased in price include shallots, iodized fine salt, mackerel, broiler chicken, and premium rice.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as bulk wheat flour, red chilies, packaged wheat flour (non-bulk), simple packaged cooking oil, and granulated sugar decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Dry soybean (import) experienced the highest price increase of Rp460 (4.19%) to Rp11,440 per kg. Meanwhile, red chilies experienced the largest price decrease of Rp2,630 (7.02%) to Rp34,860 per kg.
