Indonesia Food Price Update Today: Chili, Onion, and Egg Prices Rise (Thursday, February 15, 2024)

The prices of several food commodities in Indonesia today are observed to have increased compared to yesterday.

Based on the National Food Agency (Bapanas) food price panel data on Thursday (15/2/2024) at 11.27 WIB, out of 20 commodities, 9 commodities increased and 8 commodities decreased in price.

Commodities that increased in price include curly red chilies, milkfish, pure beef, shallots, and dry soybean (import).

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as packaged wheat flour (non-bulk), garlic cloves, simple packaged cooking oil, broiler chicken meat, and bulk wheat flour decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Red chili prices increased the most by Rp1,920 (3.92%) to Rp50,950 per kg. Meanwhile, the price of Indian mackerel decreased the least by Rp580 (1.53%) to Rp37,370 per kg.
