Today's Food Prices (03/3) in Indonesia: Bird's Eye Chili Rises, Red Chili Falls

Several food commodity prices in Indonesia today were observed to fall compared to yesterday.

Quoting data from the Ministry of Trade's Basic Needs Market Monitoring System (SP2KP Kemendag) on Tuesday (March 3, 2026) at 14:23 WIB, out of 16 commodities, 7 commodities increased and 8 decreased.

Commodities that saw price increases are bulk palm cooking oil, red bird's eye chili, wheat flour, imported soybeans, and premium rice.

Meanwhile, prices of several commodities such as Honan garlic, shallots, curly red chili, broiler chicken meat, and beef hindquarter fell compared to yesterday's prices.

Red bird's eye chili prices rose the most by Rp695 (0.95%) to Rp74,082 per kg. Meanwhile, large red chili prices fell the sharpest by Rp1,804 (4.33%) to Rp39,903 per kg.

6. Curly Red Chili: Rp38,577 per kg (down 0.99%)
7. Honan Garlic: Rp36,476 per kg (down 0.16%)
8. Broiler Eggs: Rp30,973 per kg (down 0.06%)
9. Packaged Premium Palm Cooking Oil: Rp21,097 per liter (up 0.01%)
10. Bulk Palm Cooking Oil: Rp18,189 per liter (up 0.12%)
11. Bulk Granulated Sugar: Rp17,860 per kg (up 0.04%)
12. Minyakita: Rp15,913 per liter (down 0.04%)
