Indonesian Food Prices on Monday (July 8th): What's the Price of Fish?

Prices of several food commodities in Indonesia today are observed to have increased compared to yesterday.

Based on the National Food Agency (Bapanas) food price panel data on Monday (8/7/2024) at 15.21 WIB, out of 21 commodities, 14 commodities increased and 5 commodities decreased in price.

Commodities that increased in price include shallots, milkfish, skipjack tuna, packaged wheat flour (non-bulk), and corn at the farmer level.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as red onions, pure beef, bulk cooking oil, fine iodized salt, and dry soybean seeds (import) decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Red chili prices surged the highest by Rp1,350 (2.75%) to Rp50,420 per kg. Meanwhile, red onion prices decreased the most by Rp280 (0.78%) to Rp35,590 per kg.
