East Java Food Prices Tuesday (September 17th): Cooking Oil Up, Onions Down

The prices of several food commodities in East Java today are observed to have decreased compared to yesterday.

Based on the national food agency (Bapanas) food price panel data on Tuesday (17/9/2024) at 09.21 WIB, out of 21 commodities, 4 commodities increased and 16 commodities decreased in price.

Commodities that increased in price are chicken eggs, SPHP rice, bulk cooking oil, and premium rice.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as granulated sugar, red chilies, medium rice, simple packaged cooking oil, and farmer-level corn decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Bulk cooking oil saw the highest price increase of IDR 170 (1.06%) to IDR 16,260 per liter. Shallots saw the largest price decrease of IDR 2,560 (11.9%) to IDR 18,960 per kg.
