Latest Food Prices in South Sumatra: How Much is Chili?

The prices of several food commodities in South Sumatra today are observed to have decreased compared to yesterday.

Citing data from the National Food Agency (Bapanas) price panel on Monday (14/4/2025) at 12.52 WIB, out of 23 commodities, 10 commodities increased in price and 12 commodities decreased.

Commodities that increased in price include Minyakita, milkfish, packaged cooking oil, large red chilies, and dry soybean (import).

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as table salt, medium rice, Indian mackerel, skipjack tuna, and packaged wheat flour decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Large red chilies saw the highest price increase of Rp3,091 (5.85%) to Rp55,931 per kg. Meanwhile, Indian mackerel experienced the sharpest price drop of Rp921 (2.43%) to Rp36,947 per kg.
