Banten Latest Food Prices: Cayenne Pepper Rises, Buffalo Meat Drops

The prices of several food items in Banten today are observed to have increased compared to yesterday.

According to data from the National Food Agency's (Bapanas) food price panel on Wednesday (5/11/2025) at 13:20 WIB, out of 25 commodities, 11 commodities increased and 9 commodities decreased.

Commodities with increased prices include curly red chili, cayenne pepper, Minyakita cooking oil, bulk cooking oil, and large red chili.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as medium rice, packaged cooking oil, frozen buffalo meat (imported from abroad), pure beef, and milkfish decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Cayenne pepper saw the highest increase of Rp2,183 (6.04%) to Rp38,333 per kg. The price of frozen buffalo meat (imported from abroad) experienced the deepest drop of Rp2,500 (2.27%) to Rp107,500 per kg.
