Indonesia's Daily Food Prices: Egg and Rice Prices Drop

Prices of several food commodities in Indonesia today are observed to have decreased compared to yesterday.

Based on the National Food Agency (Bapanas) food price panel data on Friday (22/11/2024) at 14.10 WIB, out of 21 commodities, 10 commodities increased and 11 commodities decreased in price.

Commodities that increased in price include packaged wheat flour (non-bulk), simple packaged cooking oil, broiler chicken, bulk cooking oil, and premium rice.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as pure beef, skipjack tuna, chicken eggs, granulated sugar, and SPHP rice decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Shallots saw the highest price increase, jumping by Rp230 (0.6%) to Rp38,610 per kg. Red chilies saw the sharpest price drop, falling by Rp220 (0.55%) to Rp39,420 per kg.
