The average daily price of medium-sized red onions in traditional markets in Riau Province has decreased by 38.22% over the past month.

Latest information from the National Strategic Food Price Information Center panel shows that the daily price of medium-sized shallots in traditional markets in Riau Province is recorded at Rp24,650. This price is up Rp150 compared to the previous day.

Over the past month, the daily price of medium-sized shallots in traditional markets has decreased from a previous record of Rp39,900.

Meanwhile, the daily price of medium-sized shallots in traditional markets in Riau over the past three months has fallen by 32.93%. According to historical food price records on the PIHPS price panel, the daily price of medium-sized shallots in traditional markets in Riau Province was traded at Rp36,750.

The record high for the daily price of medium-sized shallots in traditional markets in this province was previously recorded in April 2024 with an increase of 26.75%, and the lowest decrease was recorded in August 2024 with a decrease of -20.2%.

The PIHPS monitoring shows that the prices of nine basic commodities (sembako) today in Riau recorded 15 commodities decreasing and 11 others increasing. Basic commodities with decreased prices include Medium-Sized Shallots, Fresh Broiler Chicken, Granulated Sugar, Cooking Oil, Super II Quality Rice, Branded Packaged Cooking Oil 2, Garlic, Medium-Sized Garlic, Red Chili, Branded Packaged Cooking Oil 1, Curly Red Chili, Chili, Red Chili, Shallots, and Local Granulated Sugar.
