Chili Pepper Prices Highest in These 10 Provinces (Tuesday, August 6, 2024)

The National Strategic Food Price Information Center recorded an average daily price of chili peppers (per kg) in modern markets across several provinces reaching Rp 90,210 per kg, as of Tuesday, August 6, 2024. Overall, the average this week increased compared to the previous week's average of Rp 87,270 per kg.

The daily price of chili peppers in modern markets in East Kalimantan was the most expensive in Indonesia, with a selling price of Rp 167,200 per kg. Compared to a month ago, the price of chili peppers in this province is higher. Previously, it was recorded at Rp 57,150 per kg.

Meanwhile, in modern markets in North Kalimantan, chili peppers were sold at Rp 140,000 per kg, making it the second most expensive in the country.

Then, in third place, the price of chili peppers in South Kalimantan was Rp 137,900 per kg, West Papua Rp 126,650 per kg, and Papua Rp 125,000 per kg.

Meanwhile, there are 18 provinces with chili pepper sales below the national average. The three provinces with the lowest selling prices for chili peppers are North Sumatra, South Sulawesi, and West Sulawesi.
