Price of Medium Quality II Rice in Traditional Markets, May 2024-2025

The latest information from the National Strategic Food Price Information Center panel shows that the daily price of medium-quality grade II rice in traditional markets in Central Java Province is recorded at Rp14,250. This price is up Rp300 compared to the previous day.

Compared to the price 30 days ago, the daily price of medium-quality grade II rice in traditional markets has increased from the previously recorded Rp14,150.

Meanwhile, the daily price of medium-quality grade II rice in traditional markets in Central Java over the past three months has increased by 0.71% from the previously recorded price of Rp14,150.

The record increase in the daily price of medium-quality grade II rice in traditional markets in this province was previously recorded in May 2020 with an increase of 11.21%, and the lowest decrease was recorded in May 2020 with a decrease of -10.08%.

According to PIHPS monitoring, the prices of nine basic commodities today in Central Java show nine commodities decreased and 21 others increased. Basic commodities with price decreases are: Daily Chicken Eggs in Traditional Markets by Province; Daily Fresh Chicken Eggs in Traditional Markets by Province; Daily Branded Packaged Cooking Oil 2 in Traditional Markets by Province; Daily Branded Packaged Cooking Oil 1 in Traditional Markets by Province; Daily Chili Peppers in Traditional Markets by Province; Daily Cooking Oil in Traditional Markets by Province; Daily Chicken Meat in Traditional Markets by Province; Daily Fresh Chicken Meat in Traditional Markets by Province; and Daily Green Chili Peppers in Traditional Markets by Province.

The following are the prices of basic commodities monitored by PIHPS today compared to price developments over the past month in Central Java Province:
