Latest Food Prices in Yogyakarta: Sugar, Salt, and Chili Prices Increase

The prices of several food commodities in Yogyakarta Special Region today are observed to have increased compared to yesterday.

Citing data from the National Food Agency (Bapanas) food price panel on Thursday (28/11/2024) at 10:13 WIB, out of 20 commodities, 11 commodities increased and 9 commodities decreased in price.

Commodities that increased in price include chicken eggs, bulk wheat flour, SPHP rice, dry soybean (import), and fine iodized salt.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as pure beef, packaged wheat flour (non-bulk), garlic cloves, shallots, and medium rice decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Milkfish prices surged the highest by Rp2,710 (7.03%) to Rp41,260 per kg. Shallots saw the steepest price drop, decreasing by Rp2,030 (5.5%) to Rp34,870 per kg.

5. Chicken Meat: Rp35,000 per kg (up 0.4%)
6. Shallots: Rp34,870 per kg (down 5.5%)
7. Skipjack Tuna: Rp32,990 per kg (up 1.35%)
8. Chicken Eggs: Rp25,660 per kg (up 0.63%)
9. Red Chili Peppers: Rp22,510 per kg (down 0.31%)
