Food Prices Today in West Java: Onions Up, Buffalo Meat Down

Prices of a number of food ingredients in West Java today are observed to have increased compared to yesterday.

Reporting from the food price panel data of the National Food Agency (Bapanas) on Tuesday (2/9/2025) at 06.44 AM WIB, out of 24 commodities, 17 commodities increased and 7 commodities decreased.

Commodities with price increases include broiler chicken meat, premium rice, pure beef, red onions, and large red chilies.

Meanwhile, prices of several commodities such as consumption salt, Minyakita, frozen buffalo meat (foreign import), red cayenne pepper, and curly red chilies decreased compared to yesterday''s prices.

Milkfish commodity soared the highest by Rp5,624 (14.91%) to Rp43,333 per kg. Meanwhile, the price of frozen buffalo meat (foreign import) dropped the deepest by Rp105,000 (100.0%) to Rp0 per kg.

5. Milkfish: Rp43,333 per kg (up 14.91%)
6. Broiler Chicken Meat: Rp38,750 per kg (up 9.6%)
7. Skipjack Tuna: Rp37,667 per kg (up 1.63%)
8. Garlic Bulb: Rp35,000 per kg (up 0.53%)
9. Red Cayenne Pepper: Rp35,000 per kg (down 0.69%)
10. Curly Red Chilies: Rp30,000 per kg (down 23.06%)
11. Broiler Chicken Eggs: Rp27,667 per kg (up 0.89%)
