South Sumatra Food Price Update Today: Beef Prices Up, Chicken Prices Down (Saturday, January 27, 2024)

The prices of several food commodities in South Sumatra today are observed to be lower compared to yesterday.

Based on data from the National Food Agency (Bapanas) price panel on Saturday (27/1/2024) at 11:33 WIB, out of 20 commodities, 8 commodities increased and 12 commodities decreased in price.

Commodities that increased in price include chicken eggs, mackerel, farmer-level corn, bulk wheat flour, and milkfish.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as granulated sugar, simple packaged cooking oil, shallots, red chilies, and red cayenne peppers decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Mackerel experienced the highest price increase of Rp1,090 (3.37%) to Rp33,480 per kg. Meanwhile, the price of chicken meat saw the lowest decrease of Rp430 (1.39%) to Rp30,490 per kg.
