Current Food Prices in South Sumatra: Prices of Beef, Sugar, and Chicken Rise

The prices of several food commodities in South Sumatra today are observed to have increased compared to yesterday.

Citing data from the National Food Agency (Bapanas) food price panel on Saturday (4/5/2024) at 15.57 WIB, out of 20 commodities, 12 commodities increased and 4 commodities decreased in price.

Commodities that increased in price include cooking oil (curah), simple packaged cooking oil, red chilies (rawit), premium rice, and skipjack tuna.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as shallots, red onions, dry soybean (import), and milkfish decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

The price of mackerel increased the most by Rp600 (1.97%) to Rp31,130 per kg. The price of shallots decreased the least by Rp830 (1.91%) to Rp42,550 per kg.
