Bali's Weekly Food Prices (1/12): Salt Up, Chilies Down

The prices of several food commodities in Bali today are observed to be higher compared to yesterday.

Based on food price panel data from the National Food Agency (Bapanas) on Sunday (1/12/2024) at 11:12 WIB, out of 21 commodities, 10 commodities increased in price and 8 decreased.

Commodities that increased in price include bulk cooking oil, medium rice, mackerel, dry soybean (import), and packaged wheat flour (non-bulk).

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as chicken eggs, red chilies, chicken meat, red chili peppers, and granulated sugar decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Mackerel experienced the highest price increase, up by Rp3,210 (9.21%) to Rp38,080 per kg. Red chilies saw the sharpest price drop, down Rp790 (4.58%) to Rp16,470 per kg.

7. Skipjack Tuna: Rp27,770 per kg (up 4.01%)
8. Chicken Eggs: Rp26,830 per kg (down 0.7%)
9. Red Chili Peppers: Rp26,200 per kg (down 2.35%)
10. Simple Packaged Cooking Oil: Rp17,930 per liter (up 0.39%)
11. Bulk Cooking Oil: Rp17,480 per liter (up 1.16%)
12. Granulated Sugar: Rp17,100 per kg (down 1.16%)
13. Red Chilies: Rp16,470 per kg (down 4.58%)
