Today's Food Prices (06/2) in West Sumatra: Red Chili Up, Bird's Eye Chili Down

Several food commodity prices in West Sumatra today were observed to increase compared to yesterday.

Quoting data from the Ministry of Trade's Basic Needs Market Monitoring System (SP2KP Kemendag) on Friday (2/6/2026) at 15:59 WIB, out of 16 commodities, 4 commodities increased and 3 decreased.

Commodities that saw price increases are medium rice, Honan garlic, broiler chicken meat, and curly red chili.

Meanwhile, prices of some commodities such as wheat flour, red bird's eye chili, and broiler chicken eggs decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Curly red chili prices rose the most by Rp1,315 (2.71%) to Rp49,870 per kg. Meanwhile, red bird's eye chili prices fell the sharpest by Rp4,000 (5.94%) to Rp63,389 per kg.
