Latest Indonesian Food Prices: Chicken and Onion Prices Fall

Prices of several food commodities in Indonesia today are observed to have decreased compared to yesterday.

Citing data from the National Food Agency (Bapanas) food price panel on Tuesday (5/11/2024) at 2:58 PM WIB, out of 21 commodities, 4 commodities increased and 15 commodities decreased in price.

Commodities that increased in price are farmer-level corn, pure beef, skipjack tuna, and shallots.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as iodized fine salt, milkfish, dry soybean (import), broiler chicken, and bulk cooking oil decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Shallots saw the highest price increase of Rp400 (1.22%) to Rp33,280 per kg. Meanwhile, the price of red chilies saw the steepest decrease of Rp210 (0.73%) to Rp28,410 per kg.

The following is a complete list of the prices of 21 food commodities in Indonesia according to Bapanas on November 5, 2024, at 2:58 PM WIB.
