Red Chili Prices in East Kalimantan Highest in Indonesia (Tuesday, July 9, 2024)

The National Strategic Food Price Information Center recorded an average daily price of red chilies (per kg) in modern markets across several provinces at Rp 94,250 per kg, as of Tuesday, July 9, 2024. Overall, the average this week decreased compared to the previous week's average of Rp 95,460 per kg.

The daily price of red chilies in modern markets in East Kalimantan was the highest in Indonesia, at Rp 156,350 per kg. Compared to a month ago, the price of red chilies in this province is higher. Previously, it was recorded at Rp 41,100 per kg.

Meanwhile, in modern markets in North Kalimantan, the price of red chilies was sold at Rp 150,000 per kg, making it the second most expensive in the country.

Then, in third place, the price of red chilies in Papua was Rp 136,250 per kg, West Kalimantan Rp 129,450 per kg, and South Kalimantan Rp 116,400 per kg.

Meanwhile, there are 17 provinces with red chili sales prices below the national average. The three provinces with the lowest red chili selling prices are Aceh, South Sulawesi, and West Sulawesi.
