Bali's Current Food Prices: Chili Prices Rise, Chicken Prices Fall

The prices of several food commodities in Bali today are observed to have increased compared to yesterday.

Citing data from the National Food Agency (Bapanas) food price panel on Thursday (19/9/2024) at 13:13 WIB, out of 21 commodities, 11 commodities increased and 4 commodities decreased in price.

Commodities that increased in price include red chilies, bulk cooking oil, shallots, packaged wheat flour (non-bulk), and garlic bulbs.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as bulk wheat flour, broiler chicken, curly red chilies, and farmer-level corn decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Red chilies saw the highest price increase, jumping Rp1,380 (3.98%) to Rp36,030 per kg. Farmer-level corn experienced the sharpest price drop, falling Rp120 (2.05%) to Rp5,740 per kg.
