Current Food Prices in South Sumatra: Chili Prices Up, Salt Prices Down

The price of several food commodities in South Sumatra today is observed to have decreased compared to yesterday.

Citing data from the National Food Agency (Bapanas) food price panel on Friday (13/12/2024) at 12.21 WIB, out of 21 commodities, 7 commodities increased and 10 commodities decreased in price.

Commodities that increased in price include red chilies, shallots, curly red chilies, red onions, and milkfish.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as bulk wheat flour, broiler chicken meat, pure beef, fine iodized salt, and medium rice decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Curly red chilies saw the highest price increase of Rp3,040 (10.05%) to Rp33,300 per kg. Meanwhile, bulk wheat flour experienced the largest price decrease of Rp50 (0.56%) to Rp8,930 per kg.

The following is a complete list of the prices of 21 food commodities in South Sumatra according to Bapanas on December 13, 2024, at 12.21 WIB.
