Today's Food Prices in East Java: Beef, Chicken, and Egg Prices Drop

The prices of several food commodities in East Java today are monitored to have decreased compared to yesterday.

Citing data from the National Food Agency (Bapanas) food price panel on Tuesday (8/4/2025) at 09.18 WIB, out of 23 commodities, 7 commodities increased and 16 commodities decreased in price.

Commodities that increased in price include skipjack tuna, medium rice, packaged wheat flour, premium rice, and shallots.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as large red chilies, bulk wheat flour, curly red chilies, granulated sugar, and bulk cooking oil decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

The commodity with the highest price increase was shallots, up by Rp1,686 (4.21%) to Rp41,750 per kg. The commodity with the largest price decrease was Indian mackerel, down Rp2,403 (6.89%) to Rp32,479 per kg.
