Indonesia's Latest Food Prices: Salt Up, Chilies Down (Wednesday, March 27, 2024)

The prices of several food commodities in Indonesia today are observed to have increased compared to yesterday.

Based on data from the National Food Agency (Bapanas) price panel on Wednesday (27/3/2024) at 13:30 WIB, out of 20 commodities, 12 commodities increased and 8 commodities decreased in price.

Commodities that increased in price include shallots, simple packaged cooking oil, bulk cooking oil, bulk wheat flour, and packaged wheat flour (non-bulk).

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as granulated sugar, milkfish, mackerel, red chilies, and broiler chicken have decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Iodized fine salt saw the highest price increase, jumping by Rp80 (0.69%) to Rp11,640 per kg. The price of skipjack tuna saw the lowest decrease, dropping by Rp360 (1.12%) to Rp31,900 per kg.
