Banten Food Price Update Today: Salt Prices Up, Sugar Prices Down (Sunday, March 3, 2024)

The prices of several food commodities in Banten today are observed to have increased compared to yesterday.

Citing data from the National Food Agency (Bapanas) food price panel on Sunday (3/3/2024) at 10:12 WIB, out of 20 commodities, 12 commodities increased and 8 commodities decreased in price.

Commodities that increased in price include farmer-level corn, red chilies, bulk wheat flour, shallots, and bulk cooking oil.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as skipjack tuna, chicken eggs, dry soybean (import), curly red chilies, and granulated sugar decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Iodized fine salt saw the highest price increase of Rp1,610 (14.83%) to Rp12,470 per kg. Meanwhile, the price of dry soybean (import) saw the lowest decrease of Rp1,070 (7.07%) to Rp14,070 per kg.
