Today's (20/2) Food Prices in West Java: Rice, Bird's Eye Chili and Onion Prices Rise

Some food commodity prices in West Java today were observed to increase compared to yesterday.

Quoting data from the Ministry of Trade's Basic Needs Market Monitoring System (SP2KP Kemendag) on Friday (February 20, 2026) at 17:28 WIB, out of 16 commodities, 6 commodities increased and 5 commodities decreased.

The commodities that experienced price increases are wheat flour, shallots, medium rice, red bird's eye chili, and large red chili.

Meanwhile, prices of some commodities such as Honan garlic, chicken eggs, imported soybeans, beef rump, and broiler chicken decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Red bird's eye chili prices increased the most by Rp3,624 (4.05%) to Rp93,025 per kg. Meanwhile, Honan garlic prices decreased the most by Rp547 (1.53%) to Rp35,160 per kg.

5. Broiler Chicken: Rp42,117 per kg (down 0.03%)
6. Shallots: Rp41,469 per kg (up 1.05%)
7. Honan Garlic: Rp35,160 per kg (down 1.53%)
8. Chicken Eggs: Rp31,068 per kg (down 0.06%)
9. Premium Packaged Palm Cooking Oil: Rp20,324 per liter (unchanged)
10. Bulk Palm Cooking Oil: Rp18,483 per liter (unchanged)
11. Bulk Granulated Sugar: Rp17,574 per kg (unchanged)
12. Minyakita: Rp15,700 per liter (unchanged)
13. Premium Rice: Rp14,454 per kg (unchanged)
