Current Food Prices in Central Java: Prices of Chilies, Rice, and Sugar Increase

The prices of several food commodities in Central Java today are observed to have increased compared to yesterday.

Citing data from the National Food Agency (Bapanas) food price panel on Thursday (7/11/2024) at 16.28 WIB, out of 21 commodities, 14 commodities increased in price and 6 commodities decreased.

Commodities that increased in price include pure beef, kembung fish, bandeng fish, bulk cooking oil, and tongkol fish.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as farmer-level corn, SPHP rice, garlic cloves, red chilies, and simple packaged cooking oil decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

The price of tongkol fish increased the most, by Rp620 (2.03%) to Rp31,220 per kg. The price of red chilies decreased the most sharply, by Rp800 (3.75%) to Rp20,510 per kg.
