Food Prices Wednesday (8/10) East Java Region: Oil and Rice Prices Rise

Prices of several food commodities in East Java today were observed to increase compared to yesterday.

According to data from the National Food Agency (Bapanas) food price panel on Wednesday (October 8, 2025) at 12:46 PM WIB, out of 25 commodities, 15 increased and 7 decreased.

Commodities with price increases include corn at the farmer level, skipjack tuna, medium rice, packaged wheat flour, and consumption salt.

Meanwhile, prices of several commodities such as bulk wheat flour, red bird's eye chili, broiler chicken meat, curly red chili, and mackerel scad decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Red onion commodities increased the most by Rp609 (1.83%) to Rp33,878 per kg. The price of curly red chili decreased the most sharply by Rp563 (1.12%) to Rp49,667 per kg.
