Daily Chicken Meat Prices in Traditional Markets of Papua Province Decreased by 0.58% in the Last Month

The latest information from the National Strategic Food Price Information Center panel shows that the daily price of chicken in traditional markets in Papua Province is recorded at Rp42,950. This price is up Rp150 compared to the previous day.

Over the past month, the daily price of chicken in traditional markets has decreased from Rp43,200.

Meanwhile, the daily price of chicken in traditional markets in Papua over the past three months has fallen by 1.6%. According to historical food price records on the PIHPS price panel, the daily price of chicken in traditional markets in Papua Province was traded at Rp43,650.

The highest recorded increase in the daily price of chicken in traditional markets in this province was in August 2023, with an increase of 24.93%, and the lowest decrease was also recorded in August 2023, with a decrease of -19.96%.

PIHPS monitoring shows that the prices of nine basic commodities (sembako) today in Papua recorded seven commodities decreasing and 13 others increasing. The basic commodities with decreased prices are: Curly Red Chili, Large Red Chili, Garlic, Red Chili, Rice, Medium Quality Rice I, and Medium Quality Rice II.

The following are the prices of nine basic commodities monitored by PIHPS today compared to the price developments over the past month in Papua Province:

7. Garlic per kg Rp56,000/kg (down 1.75%)
8. Bird's Eye Chili per kg Rp97,500/kg (up 8.94%)
9. Red Chili per kg Rp66,500/kg (down 4.66%)
10. Rice per kg Rp16,500/kg (down 0.3%)
