Kotamobagu City's 2023 Gross Regional Domestic Product (GRDP) at current prices (ADHB) reached Rp4,798.75 billion. This represents a 5.4% increase compared to the previous year's Rp4,412.66 billion.

Compared to the COVID-19 pandemic year of 2020, the region's economic growth is significantly higher. At the end of 2020, post-COVID growth was recorded at only 0.19%.

According to BPS (Statistics Indonesia) publications, with a total population of 123,920, the GRDP per capita in this region is recorded at Rp37,580,000/capita/year. Nationally, this ranks 321st.

Of the 17 sectors driving the region's economy, the administration, defense, and mandatory social security sector is the leading contributor.

In 2023, the administration, defense, and mandatory social security sector in Kotamobagu City recorded a value of Rp806.74 billion, ranking first among the 17 sectors. This sector grew by 4.13% compared to the previous year's figure of Rp750.07 billion.

Second is the wholesale and retail trade, repair of motor vehicles and motorcycles sector, which grew by 6.65% to Rp773.88 billion, followed by the construction sector in third place, growing by 8.23% to Rp612.72 billion.

Other sectors contributing to the top five include financial and insurance services with a GRDP of Rp401.63 billion.
